Could not have said it better myself TC. Now THIS topic makes me so angry! So many things were destroyed due to that one oil spill. It is so very sad. Wonder when money, power, and greed will become second to our planets safety. I wont hold my breath on that one. Money and power have always ruled the world.

Body found during oil cleanup

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Workers cleaning up from a massive oil leak that struck last weekend found a decomposing body in a creek Sunday, police said. The body was too decomposed to tell whether it was a man or a woman when it was pulled from a brushy area of Red Butte Creek on Sunday afternoon, University of Utah Police Lt. George Foss said.

"It's been in the water for some period of time," Foss said. "I can't tell you how long, but it's badly decomposed."

Foss said the state medical examiner will have to confirm whether it was a man or a woman. The body was clothed, but Foss said had no identification on it.

The body was found in the creek on the eastern edge of the University of Utah campus, but it may have been washed downstream as work continued on cleaning up the 33,000 gallons of crude oil that leaked from a broken pipeline on June 12.

Chevron Corp. planned to open a dam on Saturday, increasing the water flow in the creek in order to flush out the oil still remaining from the leak.
