Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize

I like the reasons he was nominated and won, it is a new direction and breath of fresh air. But I do have to admit that I feel there were others who have worked longer and harder for peace and were much more deserving. So, I guess it would be safe to say I have mixed feelings. I do send my congratulations to President Obama all the same though...

I agree a hundred percent..without the dark there can be no light..this time of year brings that about without reserve. I feel that we have had extreme dark and now the light must come..could be early for the award and I have great hopes of him earning....we must manifest that which we choose to create for out lives.

Well. all I can say is; isn't it just spiffy that he accepted it either a week before or a week after he committed (I think it was after) Goddess knows how many thousands of more troops to go to Afghanistan and die for... why is it we're there again??? Oh yeah, we pulled out of Iraq and just don't have anywhere better for our young men and women to go get killed.

Peace Prize? My opinion is that Obama deserved a Peace Prize about as much as the commander of Auschwitz. Seriously? We are applauding a man who was supposed to pull us out..at least that's what we were lead to believe.

I know I'm going to get lashed over bashing the Liberals' "Poster Boy of the New Millenium" but I live just south of Colorado Springs which has a huge military presence. I am sick and tired of seeing men and women's loved ones' remains flown back here for burial. I'm tired of every single night on the news hearing of how 1, 2, 20 more soldiers lost their lives for absolutely nothing except for this country's excuses to remain in an unwinnable and senseless war.

And Rake, I love you to death my friend, but the "Yin Yang" "Without dark there can't be light" rule does not apply to this. Not when we are the ones causing the darkness by remaining in a stupid suicidal war. You can't win a war with rules. We have RULES in this war. You can't bomb a Mosque. So where does the enemy run to when the troops hit town or the spy plane flies over? Well certainly not the local strip bar!

An open statement to President Obama:
You won the Nobel Peace Prize. Now show us that you deserve it. Bring our brave men and women home and stop their needless sacrifices! Stop the killing. Stop the tears. Stop the grief and sadness and suffering of their families. Be a bigger man and a greater leader than the man who came before you. Check your ego and the egos of those who run this nation and govern. And govern with wisdom and common sense.
