How should one react in such a situation

I am not unemployed because my job was lost do to economy but my doctor diagnosed with with problems in my legs and feet. So I had to quit but I was reluctant because I am dealing with the VA. But while I was being evaluated for what I could /should do for the rest of my life. I found a program that would train me for a job in 10 weeks and then get me a position. But my VA Rehab. Counselor is acting like me finding something I might enjoy is so wrong . She acted like I had no idea or ever held a job. As of right now i feel as if I have been treated as a child. I have talked with my OVR and they would pay for my training if VA didn't. I honestly am praying for them because even some times we all make mistakes and have bad days. I believe that we all shold listen and forgive but it is hard to when misjudged and mistreated. But I am trying.
Please give me your opinions and prayers and observation and experience.

Peace and Love

All I can do is share my experiences with VA.

Twice while still in the service I accessed VA (education and house loan) and I was very satisfied.

Once I tried after I retired (for hearing aids) and that was a disaster. I ended up going to a local business and buying them out of pocket.

I would say that if you qualify for the VA assistance, go for it. Make them do their job.

Peace & Love!

It sounds as though all your bases are covered. You have found a job you'd like and someone else will pay for the training if the VA doesn't. How can the VA hurt you? Don't forget to inform your Congress people if the VA does get in your way.

Agreed, sometimes it is hard when you feel humiliated for no reason ~smiles~

He who is slow to believe in anything and everything is of great understanding, for the belief in a single false principle is the begining of all unwisdom.
