HI OCCULTPIZZA,
DO YOU HAVE ARCANE MUSHROOMS OR SECRET MEATBALLS? Great souls are grown through struggles and storms and seasons of suffering. Be patient with the process. James advised, "Don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed." (James 1:4) By following the paths, you have grown and became stronger. Remember how far you've come, not just how far you have to go. You are not where you want to be, but neither are you where you used to be. I will keep you always in my mind, heart, and prayer Ray |

Hi Ray,
Most of us here fancy ourselves in making our own paths - as oppose to follow the paths of others. You are correct in that none of us are where we used to be. We are all still learning. I agree with your statement "Great souls are grown through struggles and storms and seasons of suffering. Be patient with the process." However, I question ""Don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed." Isn't it human nature to try to speed up the process? And don't we truly only move on when its time to move on? |

Hi Drops,
My misuse of words leads to misunderstanding. That is why I prefer silence. When I used the word “Teach” “When the student is ready, the teacher shall appear. Where it happens, we shall not know. Who is the student, who is the teacher? The answer is both.” The Vigilantior My comment about “following the path” was a complement to Occultpizza for the statement that he made “I understood the 72 paths a long long time ago, now whether I accept to follow them to the end is a matter of choice” He has simplified the principles developed during the Synod of spiritual leaders, held in 1967. Concerning “Dai Verbum” (the words of God), written by the enlightened figures of the past A leader must present the literate meaning of the text, and the spiritual meaning for them AND HELP THOSE WHO HEARD, TO MAKE THE WORDS PART OF THEM. Lot of hot air, OP’s is much clearer and to the point. "Don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed." (James 1:4) means To paraphrase OP we should think about all inputs that we receive until we can make the choice to accept, reject, or modify them. “Rules are for the guidance of wise men and the blind obedience of fools.” Solon, the Lawmaker. Thank you for your communications I will keep you in my mind, heart, and prayer Ray |

And now, something different.
A boy was living in a small village outside of a big city. One day his father brought him to the city. They saw many wonderful things. But, to the boy, the most wonderful of all were the statutes made of stone he saw inside a museum. They were the most beautiful things he ever saw, and he told his father that he wanted to learn how to carve shapes out of stone.
His father said that that was impossible for a villager boy. He would have to go to school in a land far away, and it would cost more money that they had. The boy said “Do we have enough money to buy a hammer and chisels”. The boy spent ever spare minute that he had cutting stone. He became better and better. He became very pride of himself and told everyone he met that he was the best stonecutter of all. He could always find what is inside a stone and made it live. He grew into a man, who was angry because it was so hard for him to become recognized as a great stonecutter. He looked at a giant stone, as big as himself, and saw inside an angel. He started cutting away. He cut away a little piece here and a little piece there until the angel took form and looked almost alive. He felt the power of creation and thought that he was a god. He thought he was the most powerful man of all times. He wanted more power, looked around and felt the power of the wind. He then became the wind. He was rushing around the word and saw a fire burning brightly, and felt himself being pulled into the fire. The fire was stronger then the wind, so he became fire. He was burning, burning every thing around him destroying and ruined the very earth about him. Until it rained and he almost died, the water was more powerful that the fire, so he became water. He flowed into the mighty sea and became a part of it. He was rushing unto the shore and a big stone stopped the water. So he became a stone. He thought he was the most powerful thing on earth. He stood there and neither wind, water, fire, could hurt him. A stonecutter came by and saw an angel in the stone and began cutting away. He could not find the angel, he find an angry and proud person. And the stone was cut until there was nothing left to find. And the wind blew away the stone dust. |

Re: Boy Stone Cutter
I see a life fully lived in pursuit of happiness. A boy becomes a stone cutter, the wind, fire, water, stone, and finally dust.
Wasn't anger and pride just the motivators? It is too bad he never found happiness ... ahha, but he definitely pursued happiness! |

Hi Jimbob
The Karmic payment for Pride is very high. The payment is removal from the Book of Man. Pray for them that must pay. THE SNOWFLAKE A vast white plane There are countless snowflakes From a distance they like one, Closer each one is different Until the sun transforms them And they are all the same. Running together into the sea They are united And will never be the same. The Vigilantior “Male and Female are spiritual qualities, Man and woman are modes of existence in the material world” The Vigilantior Self-awareness and feeling separated from others has no spiritual qualities. In the spiritual world, there is only one. Sensing the ego, comparing yourself with others, is like skydiving without a parachute. I will keep you in my mind, heart, and prayer Ray |

Hi Ray,
I rarely use the word "karma" because of its connotations. I prefer 'cause and effect'. I pretty much agree with the quotes from the Vigilantior. I do disagree with the comment concerning self-awareness though. In Taoism, self-awareness is just as important as spirituality. The physical is one of the many forms of Tao (All - Oneness) and therefore must be honored just as much as spitituality is honored. What is hoped for is a perfect harmony (not necessarily balance) between the forms (states, conditions, aspects) of Tao. That is, a perfect harmony between the physical world and the spiritual aspects of Tao. Peace & Love! |

Quote:
It appears you are saying that happiness cannot be obtained through external means. That is where I disagree. When reaching a stepping stone or destination (the diploma) is short lived happiness. That is what the boy stone cutter was seeking - acknowledgement and / or achievement. For reference of what I am talking about is the huge smile on my face captured as I received a diploma; it is true external happiness. My internal happiness came in the learning. | |
